Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former doctor now faces charges for committing assaults involving 38 individuals who were patients.
Details of the Serious Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous sexual offences – some of which involve some against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 to 2021.
One senior CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to support a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Police Inquiry
These allegations come after what police described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the 45 charges comprise:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
