The twenty-seven-year-old captured four tournament victories – the highest tally on the circuit – including successfully defending the US Open this past September against Amanda Anisimova to earn her fourth career Grand Slam singles title.

A Year of Dominance

Throughout the year, Sabalenka competed in a circuit-leading nine championship matches, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final at the start of the year and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The star player also won the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open in March, and the Madrid Open in May. She remained the whole season as the world number one, concluding 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

In July, she achieved the status of being the first player to top 12,000 WTA ranking points since Serena Williams in 2015.

Record-Breaking Statistics

Sabalenka finished the competitive year with a 63-12 match record, and picked up a historic eleven million pounds in earnings.

She garnered nearly eighty percent of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match with the aim of "raise women's tennis to a new level".
